My husband s a Celiac and that means a restriction on so many things. The dedicated gluten free fryer was our main reason for coming. He had chips and salsa for the first time in a long time. The burritos were tasty and the tacos yummy. Out server was awesome and even had some tips for a fellow Celiac.

DEFINITELY A 5 Star Restaurant We originally heard about Hildalgo on Michigan Gluten Free Gal, but had not made the trip here before. WELL WORTH THE TRIP!!! Staff very knowledgeable! Food Is Excellent!! Choices many! HIGHLY RECOMMEND A MUST for those seeking Authentic Mexican food! We will DEFINITELY be making this trip more often!

We have been going to Hildalgo for the past few years. I have celiac disease, so must be strictly gluten free. The care the staff and owner have for the safety of their gluten free customers is unmatched. I have been there at least 30 times and have never had the slightest issue. I am confident every time I order they will take precautions. Additionally, the waitstaff is some of the nicest most efficient staff in the industry. The food is delicious, fast, and affordable. My husband and I often play the "where should we go to eat" game, which is more limited due to my dietary requirements. Nine times out 10, even though we know we will have to drive the 25 minutes from Ypsi, we still pick this place. We honestly have considered moving to Belleville solely to be closer to this restaurant. Thank you to the owner and staff who really care about all their customers, but especially those of us who must be gluten free!

Delicious!! We had the tacos and enchiladas. Both were very authentic and tasty. Bella was our waitress. She is friendly and professional. Thanks Bella. For dessert, we had the apple chimichanga and fried ice cream. Yummers.

Amazing food and great waitstaff! I tried the bean chimichanga and it was delicious! It was my moms birthday and she got a free fried ice cream which was amazing! I highly recommend stopping in for some food! Plus they had lots of different beers to chose from!

A real hidden gem. The place is in a shopping area that you have to reach via a driveway off Sumpter Road. So the expectations weren't great. But frankly this is one of the best Mexican joints I've been in ... period. And I spend part of each February in Cancun. The food is fresh and interesting. The service was top notch and the Corona was cold. Even the decor had the minimum of cheesy Mexican chatzkis. A definite return visit is in the cards. The return visit was better. The food is light and not onioned to death. Their Margaritas could turn me into an alcoholic and the service was excellent. We had a time crunch and they turned us around with room to spare. One of my top restaurants in town Mexican or otherwise.

Regular customer. Great food, fast service, reasonable prices. It's perfect. Ordering and picking up is easy. I recommend the hard-shell chicken-taco dinner. The hot sauce is quite hot but when you add a little to the mild sauce it's perfect. Comes with brown rice and refried beans. (I wish I had one of these right now.)

If you love chicken tortilla soup, you MUST try Hidalgos!! Simply amazing!! Pair it with their delicious sangria or another of there house made cocktails! Kim & Tony are fabulous!!!
